Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Data Engineer / Snowflake Lead
with 4
+ years of experience
in designing, building, and modernizing enterprise data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in
Snowflake, Python, PySpark, Snowpark, SQL, and dbt
, with hands-on experience migrating legacy data warehouse technologies to modern cloud-based data platforms.
This role will focus on migrating
SSIS/SSAS/MDX-based solutions to Snowflake Native Architecture
while enabling AI-ready analytics and scalable data engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance data pipelines using
Snowflake, Python, PySpark, and Snowpark
.
- Lead migration of legacy data platforms (
SSIS, SSAS, MDX Cubes
) to Snowflake Native Architecture.
- Develop optimized ELT pipelines using
DBT
and Snowflake best practices.
- Build and maintain semantic data models to support enterprise reporting, analytics, and AI/ML use cases.
- Optimize Snowflake performance, SQL queries, compute resources, and data models.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, product teams, and data scientists to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Ensure data quality, governance, security, and operational excellence across data platforms.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive engineering best practices within the team.
Must-Have Skills
- 4+ years
of experience in Data Engineering.
- Solid hands-on experience with
Snowflake
.
- Expertise in
SnowSQL, Snowpark, Python, PySpark, and SQL
.
- Strong experience with
DBT
for modern ELT development.
- Experience designing and optimizing enterprise-scale data pipelines.
- Experience with Data Lakes, Lakehouse Architecture, and Cloud Data Warehouses.
- Strong knowledge of Snowflake performance tuning and query optimization.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineering teams
