Bloom Energy, a solid oxide fuel cell company, is looking for a Senior Commodity
Manager to join its world class team. This individual should be a dynamic
professional who is looking for a rewarding future in one of today’s most
exciting technologies.

Location: This position will be based in Bangalore

Role and Responsibilities:

* Develop, implement, and lead the short, Mid and Long term sourcing strategies
for assigned commodities, to achieve multi sourcing, manage market risks and
geo-political impacts.

* Drive cost reduction through negotiation, cost reduction projects,
benchmarking, cost modeling, should-be costing, and make vs buy.

* Execution of Business Continuity Plan by identifying and mitigating risks to
supply.

* Support release of prototype or qualification material orders and ensure
timely delivery.

* Manage supplier performance related to quality, continuous process
improvement, qualification, and reduction in cost of poor quality.

* Ensure availability of materials to support production and order fulfillment.

* Manage or conduct supplier audits, scorecards,



and QBR.

* Work closely with contract manufacturers to support technology transfer and
DFM activities.

* Ensure seamless transition of changes including technology, ECN, NPI and
minimize related E&O.;

* Facilitate problem solving groups to meet the current and future needs of the
company.

* Develop robust cross-functional relationships to drive success. Teams may
include colleagues from procurement, engineering, quality, manufacturing,
finance, marketing, sales, product management, and other departments as
needed.

* Role requires 10-25% travel (domestic or international depending on commodity
or supplier responsibility).

Skills and Experience:

* BS/MS/MBA in Engineering/Technology or Supply Chain; experience in mechanical
engineering a plus.

* 12+ years of experience in supply chain, ideally in a manufacturing company.
5+ year management experience.
