We are seeking a Privacy Engineer to join our Privacy Technology team. This role will own the full lifecycle of TR’s marketing consent infrastructure — not just cookie banners, but the end-to-end set of controls that determine when and how Thomson Reuters can lawfully target individuals for marketing purposes across our global digital estate.

About the Role:
- Own the design, configuration, and governance of TR’s marketing consent controls across all digital properties — including preference centers, agile web forms, consent banners, and opt-in/opt-out mechanisms for marketing communications.
- Define and enforce standards for privacy link placement and behavior across TR’s marketing domains, including Do Not Sell/Share links, privacy notices, cookie policy links, and unsubscribe mechanisms.
- Translate jurisdictional consent requirements (opt-in, opt-out, hybrid) into accurate CMP configurations — geolocation rules, consent categories, banner templates, and script generation for test and production environments.
- Partner with Marketing,



Product and Legal to ensure that any campaign, workflow, or marketing feature that relies on targeting individuals for marketing purposes meets applicable global consent requirements.
- Own the consent signal chain from collection through to marketing activation — validating that preference and opt-out signals are correctly passed to downstream platforms including CRM, marketing automation, and data platforms. Work closely with the Enterprise Identity function to ensure identity anchors consent signals correctly, including how authenticated user identity is resolved and associated with consent records across channels.
