What you’ll do
Lead with impact
- Partner with us to set a clear vision and roadmap for our cloud data and analytics products (e.g., Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, AWS), aligned to business value.
- Champion the creation of digital, developer-centric platform-as-a-product which provide opinionated self‑service capabilities
- Prioritise customer outcomes and a product mindset: explicit ownership, measurable outcomes, and continuous feedback loops.
- Grow an inclusive, high‑performing engineering team; coach leaders, hire thoughtfully, create a culture of learning and psychological safety.
- Create a coherent,



coordinated engineering organisation across BI, data management, analytics and data governance - driving one way of working and shared standards.

Design for trust, reliability, and scale
- Embed governance, security, privacy, and compliance from the start using tools such as Microsoft Purview and Collibra.
- Simplify data ingestion from diverse sources with resilient real‑time and batch pipelines.
- Define and uphold standards for reliability, disaster recovery, and data quality—minimising data loss and downtime.

Enable great engineering
- Uplift engineering craft and consistency: modern software engineering practices, well‑defined interfaces/APIs, automated testing, CI/CD, and operational excellence.
- Drive platform reuse over one‑off delivery: shared building blocks, reference implementations, and inner‑sourcing where it reduces cost and improves quality.
