Till Management
• Manage the allocation and operation of tills and float as per defined norms
• Perform a health check of the infra at the tills (POS, EDC machines etc.) as per defined guidelines to
ensure smooth working
• Review and ensure that the tills are maintained as per the defined standards of hygiene
• Monitor and ensure suspended and deleted inventory is within norms
• Monitor and ensure right item code is scanned
• Generate awareness in the cashier team on the possible areas of fraud to create a fraud less
environment
• Monitor and ensure conformance to shrinkage norms
• Reconcile unbilled merchandise in collaboration with the inventory team
• Provide support to cashiers in billing during peak hours
• Review and ensure adequate numbers of bill rolls, EDC rolls, carry bags and consumables are available
• Pull back sales cash as per defined intervals and norms

Cash Management and Reconciliation
• Consolidate and reconcile all tenders and billing at the end of day as per norms (including transactions
involving jumbling)




• Deposit the cash collected during the day as per norms ensuring there is no shortage or excess of cash
• Manage the process of issuance, redemption and reconciliation of credit notes, GVs and gift items as
per defined norms
• Inspect and detect fake notes and take required actions to deal with the fake notes
• Recover shortage of cash from the Cashier
• Manage the issuance of credit notes in collaboration with the CSD team
• Maintain and update required registers as per defined guidelines
• Perform cash audit as per defined timelines and norms

Cashiering Process
• Manage adherence to the defined cashiering process (cash room opening and closing, handling of
safe, safe custody of valuables and handover etc.) and ensure a positive ranking in the audit
• Validate the price and discount overrides

Petty Cash Management
• Adhere to the defined guidelines of petty cash management (closure, payments, refilling etc.) and
ensure store has adequate cas
