Role Overview

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Own end-to-end design and architecture of significant Android features or modules in Java; introduce Kotlin incrementally where appropriate.

Drive performance improvements — startup time, memory, jank — with profiling-backed, measurable outcomes.

Lead technical discussions, mentor SDE 2 engineers, and raise the overall quality bar for the Android codebase.

Define coding standards, patterns, and CI/CD practices; guide gradual Kotlin adoption strategy across the team.

Evaluate and integrate recent Android platform capabilities; advocate for best-in-class user experience.
