Job Summary

Senior Project Engineer – Electrical Design (Dry Utilities) to lead and deliver electrical engineering design works for major infrastructure projects. The role involves independent handling of design deliverables from concept through detailed design, with a robust focus on medium and low voltage power distribution, external lighting, and utility coordination in accordance with Middle East authority standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead electrical design activities for Dry Utilities infrastructure projects from concept design to detailed design stages

Design and review Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) underground power distribution systems

Prepare and review equipment sizing calculations, load calculations, voltage drop, short circuit, and protection coordination studies

Develop external and street lighting designs, including lighting calculations using Dialux

-
Carry out pump station electrical design, including power distribution, control systems, and coordination with other disciplines

Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, SEWA, DEWA, ADDC,



and other relevant authority standards

Coordinate with utility authorities, clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary design teams

Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, specifications, and BOQs

Use engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ETAP, and DIALux for design and analysis

Support project planning, technical reviews, and client meetings

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required to Execute this Role

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university

Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience in Dry Utilities electrical design

Proven Middle East project experience in infrastructure projects

Strong knowledge of MV & LV power distribution planning and design
