Technical/Functional Skills  6-8 years of Experience with Cognos Report development and
maintaining reports.
 Excellent understanding of SQL and data modeling principles.
 Role involves analyzing business requirements.
 Design, develop, and maintain Cognos BI reports and dashboards
 Work with Framework Manager (FM) to build and manage data
models
 Develop:
o List reports
o Crosstab reports
o Drill-through & master-detail reports
 Create and maintain agile dashboards using Cognos Analytics
 Optimize report performance and ensure efficient query execution
 Perform data validation and testing
 Collaborate with business users to gather reporting requirements
 Support production issues and enhancements
 Work on data integration from multiple sources (DB2, Oracle, SQL




Server, etc.)
 Experience in administrative tasks. Creating and maintaining
schedules, jobs, troubleshooting reports failure.
 Cognos Author certification is an added advantage.
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 Participate in Agile/Scrum delivery model
Good to have skills • Knowledge on Agile Methodology
• Knowledge of ETL tools (Informatica, DataStage, Talend)
• Exposure to Power BI / Tableau (multi-BI skill advantage)
• Basic scripting (shell/Python) for automation
• Cloud exposure (Azure/AWS) – optional in newer projects
Experience Required 6-8 years of experience in Cognos Analytics.
