The Senior Database Administrator I supports KNA databases to maintain and improve their stability and reliability and responds to and resolves alerts, problems and incidents.



The Senior Database Administrator I must be able to execute periodical and on-demand maintenance tasks and deploy database changes within established standards, processes and policies. The position is expected to be able to work independently and provide guidance to more junior level members of the team, recognize larger problems proactively and work with other teams/team members to resolve them and mentor other database administrators and be cross trained in other technologies used at KNA.

Primary/Key Responsibilities
- Manage databases by designing, installing, configuring and maintaining complex database systems.
- Monitor database systems for performance issues and implement corrective measures.
- Optimize queries and database configurations to improve performance.
- Provide technical guidance and support on database-related developmental tasks.
- Provide operational support in the management of databases based on a variety of systems, such as VM
