Job Summary

This role is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining and supporting business-critical applications that underpin Bottomline payment and financial technology solutions. Working as part of a cooperative engineering team, the Applications Developer will contribute to the delivery of high-quality software enhancements, defect resolution and customer-focused improvements across existing and new platforms. The role is ideally suited to an individual with 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Visual Basic and Java development, preferably gained within the payments, banking or wider financial services industry.



The successful candidate will demonstrate robust technical capability, a structured approach to problem solving, and a commitment to delivering reliable, scalable and secure solutions in line with established engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Designing, developing and maintaining applications and software components using Visual Basic and Java.
- Supporting the enhancement and maintenance of existing payment and financial software solutions.
- Contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle including analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation and support.
- Troubleshooting application issues, identifying root causes and delivering timely defect resolution.
