Role Purpose
The EHS Manager – India Operations is responsible for developing, implementing, and governing Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) frameworks across all India operations. This role ensures statutory compliance, risk mitigation, operational safety, and the creation of a strong safety culture across offices, sites, and vendor operations nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
EHS Governance & Strategy
- Own and drive the EHS strategy for India operations in alignment with global/company EHS standards.
- Develop, implement,
and continuously improve EHS policies, SOPs, and controls across all sites.
- Act as the single point of contact for EHS matters for India operations.
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Indian EHS laws and regulations, including:
- Factories Act (where applicable)
- Fire & Life Safety norms
- Building & Occupational Safety regulations
- State-specific labor and safety requirements
- Maintain licenses, permits, statutory registers, and compliance trackers across locations.
- Support internal, external, and statutory audits and ensure timely closure of findings.
Operational Safety Management
- Conduct periodic safety inspections, risk assessments, and EHS audits across offices, campuses, and operational sites.
- Identify hazards and high-risk activities and ensure implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
