Job Summary

Konark Group is seeking an experienced Senior Safety Officer / Safety Engineer to ensure the implementation and maintenance of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across its project sites. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment, and incident prevention, along with the ability to foster a culture of safety at the workplace.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures at project sites.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Prepare and implement safety plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Conduct safety induction and training programs for employees, contractors, and workers.
- Ensure proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses,



and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain records related to safety inspections, incidents, training, and statutory compliance.
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and management to promote a secure working environment.
- Monitor emergency preparedness, fire safety systems, and evacuation procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory regulations and company safety policies.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports and present findings to management.

Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred).
- Diploma / Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety from a recognized institute is mandatory.
- Additional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA will be an added advantage.
