About:

We are seeking an experienced Staff SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) with deep expertise in on‑premises SQL Server, PowerShell automation, Azure IaaS, and cloud migration. This role is responsible for ensuring the performance, security, and availability of SQL Server platforms supporting multiple products and services.
What you’ll be doing:
- Install, configure, upgrade, and manage SQL Server instances across on‑premises and Azure IaaS environments.
- Create, maintain, and optimize database objects while ensuring high availability, security, backup, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Monitor, analyze, and tune database and server performance; troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Develop and execute cloud migration strategies, including assessment, planning, coordination, validation, and post‑migration testing.
- Deploy and manage SQL Server workloads in Azure IaaS, leveraging Azure services for performance, monitoring, and integration.
- Design and implement PowerShell‑based automation for routine and complex database administration tasks.




- Optimize query performance and server configurations; provide on‑call support during critical incidents and maintenance windows.
- Mentor and coach team members; lead technical design and implementation initiatives.
- Represent the team in technical forums and influence the long‑term strategy for SQL Server infrastructure.

What we’ll want you to have:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA with deep expertise in on‑premises SQL, Azure IaaS, PowerShell automation, and cloud migration.
- Robust hands‑on knowledge of SQL Server installation, configuration, backup and recovery, security, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and CI/CD practices.
- High proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or C# for automation and scripting.
- Extensive experience with T‑SQL and SQL.
- Background in database engineering and/or softw
