Job Purpose

Be and provide technological expertise in all types of “Fluidisation/Reactor design/Scaleup” processes and equipment. Manage Equipment/process Design Support for the sites, in order to achieve secure and reliable operation of plant, flawless implementation of MOCs and PIOs to improve profitability. Provide design support to capital projects and revamp/debottlenecking. Ensure RIL DEP and Specifications are followed across the Manufacturing. Identify the long term needs of the organization and develop the resources.

Job Accountabilities

1. Plan and execute activities of “Fluidisation/reactor design/scaleup”group of “Fundamental Engineering”. Manage manpower and resources for the same, and lead defined support to process revamp programmes in all the technology areas
2. Be the expert and develop team’s expertise in the area.
3. Troubleshoot all process design related issues to sustain target performance by proactive monitoring of equipment.
4. Support revamp / major capital projects, support projects/procurement groups for vendor selection/development.

Prioritize and set milestones for one’s team
6. Coordinate with technology vertical heads for commercializing new schemes/processes
7. Manage third party engagements for all process design/engineering related engagements.
8. Critical review of process engineering documents
9. Review high risk MOCs referred by technology vertical heads/sites
10. Analyse upsets (Including quality) and suggest preventive and corrective actions, carry out plant troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
11. Engage teams in best practice capture and sharing
12. Identify the opportunities to improve performance all critical equipments.
13. Ensure adherence to set technical standards and guidelines
14. Build process design capability at site and CoE technology verticals
15. Identification and development of successor
