Job Summary

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for generating new business opportunities through Upwork and other freelancing platforms, preparing winning proposals, engaging with potential clients, understanding project requirements, scheduling meetings, and converting leads into long-term business relationships.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, robust understanding of software development services, and proven experience in winning projects through online marketplaces.

Key ResponsibilitiesUpwork & Freelance Platform Management
- Identify relevant projects on Upwork and other freelancing platforms.
- Analyze client requirements and assess project feasibility.
- Submit customized and high-converting proposals.
- Maintain a strong response rate and client engagement.
- Manage Upwork profile visibility and project pipeline.
- Track bidding performance and conversion metrics.

Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Generate leads through:
- Upwork
- Freelancer
- Guru
- LinkedIn
- Online research
- Referrals




- Build and maintain prospect databases.
- Identify potential clients and business opportunities globally.

Client Communication
- Communicate with clients via:
- Upwork Chat
- Email
- LinkedIn
- Zoom/Google Meet
- Understand client requirements and business objectives.
- Conduct initial requirement gathering.
- Schedule meetings with senior sales managers and technical teams.

Proposal Writing
- Prepare professional proposals and project estimations.
- Customize proposals according to client requirements.
- Create company presentations and capability documents.
- Draft Statements of Work (SOWs) and project summaries when required.

Sales & Conversion
- Follow up with prospective clients.
- Build trust and maintain client relationships.
- Negotiate project scope, pricing, and timelines.
- Assist in closing deals and onboarding clients.

CRM & Reporting
- Maintain lead records and sales pipeline.
