Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled MongoDB Administrator to join our team for an exciting chance with ECGC, a government client. As a MongoDB Admin, you will be responsible for the deployment, management, and optimization of MongoDB databases, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. The role is based in Andheri East, Mumbai, and we are looking for someone who can join immediately or within 15 days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain MongoDB databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Perform database installations, configurations, and upgrades.
- Monitor database performance and implement optimizations.
- Design and implement database backups, replication, and recovery procedures.
- Troubleshoot database issues and perform root cause analysis to resolve them.
- Ensure data consistency, integrity,



and security in MongoDB environments.
- Provide support for database performance tuning, capacity planning, and scaling.
- Develop and maintain scripts for database automation and management tasks.
- Work closely with development teams to design and implement efficient database structures for applications.
- Perform database migrations, including upgrading MongoDB versions or migrating from other database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL).
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate database solutions into enterprise architecture.

Key Requirements:
- 4-8 years of hands-on experience in MongoDB administration.
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases is a must.
- Expertise in managing MongoDB clusters, replication, and sharding.
- Experience with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Strong knowledge of database monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
