Your Team
You’ll be joining the Data Services & MFT team within IG Group’s Data Platforms function. Data Platforms sits at the core of a global, FCA-regulated online trading and financial services group, accountable for the data infrastructure that underpins trading, pricing, risk, compliance, reporting and analytics across the firm.




The Data Services & MFT team owns and operates:
- A heterogeneous database estate of 500+ databases spanning Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis and AWS RDS, hosted on-premises (Nutanix) and in cloud.
- Managed File Transfer (GoAnywhere MFT) operations, moving business-critical and regulated data securely between internal systems, counterparties and regulators.
- 24/7 operational support across a follow-the-sun model spanning London and Bangalore.

The team is a key enabler of the firm’s regulatory obligations (FCA, MiFID II), operational resilience commitments, and cost-efficiency targets. It combines deep operational ownership with platform-engineering and automation work, including a self-service database provisioning platform and large-scale migration programmes.
This is a delivery-focused management role. You’re expected to stay close to the technology, guide engineers on complex issues, and maintain transparent alignment with
