As a Data Engineer Global supporting Southwest’s AI Platform Operations Pod, you’ll help build, operate, and improve the data pipelines that keep AI and analytics solutions running reliably at scale. This role offers hands‑on ownership from day one—supporting production data flows that power AI/ML and agentic systems, while working with modern data tools and AWS services to ensure data is accurate, timely, and fit for purpose. You’ll design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, support retraining and feedback loops, and apply data quality checks, schema validation, and basic observability to keep systems healthy as they evolve. Partnering with Data, Product, and Engineering Teams, you’ll help implement infrastructure improvements, automate manual processes, and support analytics that drive operational insights.
