The Senior Safety Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and implementing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies across real estate construction projects. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, promotes a safety-first culture, and minimizes risks to personnel, property, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Safety Management & Compliance
- Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific safety plans and procedures
- Ensure compliance with local safety regulations, building codes, and company policies
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits
2. Risk Assessment & Hazard Control
- Identify potential hazards and conduct risk assessments
- Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment
3. Training & Awareness
- Conduct safety induction programs for current employees and contractors
- Organize regular safety training, toolbox talks,
and awareness campaigns
- Promote a proactive safety culture across all project teams
4. Incident Investigation
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses
- Prepare detailed reports and suggest corrective actions
- Maintain records of incidents and compliance documentation
5. Contractor & Site Coordination
- Monitor contractor compliance with safety standards
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and vendors on safety matters
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all construction activities
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain safety records, checklists, permits, and audit reports
- Submit periodic safety performance reports to management
- Ensure all statutory safety documentation is up to date
