What You'll Do
A successful Lead Software Engineer will have hands-on role requiring a strong engineering background and a successful track record leading development team. You must have a proven track record of designing and building powerful, rapid, massively scalable, and secure web-based applications. You must bring a passion for people management and a “leader-as-servant” approach to management, as this is reflective of our culture at First Advantage. You will provide technical leadership, mentorship, and inspire and motivate the engineering team.
Responsibilities:
- Own and drive key pieces of First Advantage’s next-generation global platform architecture and implementation – 10%
- Drive organizational alignment with goals, priorities and team allocation to achieve business objectives - 5%
- Be a champion for the Agile Scrum framework and DevOps approach within the team. Influence the right behaviors and outcomes on the part of other teams - 10%
- Manage team of developers, designing and implementing new functionality, as well as improving existing products - 25%

- Own scheduling and on-time delivery of features throughout the software development lifecycle - 10%
- Work across engineering, operations, and business partner teams to deliver highly scalable and reliable enterprise services - 10%
- Regularly communicate program / project status to stakeholders - 5%
- Model performance excellence and mentor your team to do the same - 10%
- Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity - 5%
- Support continuous process improvement and innovation - 5%

What You Will Need to be Successful:
- BE/BTech/BS or master’s in computer science or related discipline
- Overall 10+ years of experience with hands-on experience in software development and quality assurance.
- 5+ years in a technical leadership role with hands-on experience in software development and quality assurance.
