Description
As Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within Consumer & Community Banking , you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm’s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, secure, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.
Job responsibilities
- Executes standard software solutions across design, development, and technical troubleshooting to support secure, stable applications.
- Writes secure, high-quality code in at least one programming language with limited guidance.
- Designs, develops, and troubleshoots with awareness of upstream/downstream dependencies and technical implications.
- Leverages SDLC toolchain and automation to improve delivery efficiency, quality, and reliability.




- Applies structured troubleshooting to break down problems and resolve issues of basic complexity.
- Gathers and analyzes large, diverse datasets to identify issues and inform decision-making for application development and stability.
- Learns and applies engineering processes/methodologies while contributing to an inclusive, respectful team culture.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Hands on with Data Engineering, ETL, and SQL. Familiarity with Data Warehousing concept is must
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages
- Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle
- Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, App
