The Impact you will have in this role:
- The Database Administrator will provide database administrative support for all DTCC environments including Development, QA, client test, and our critical high availability production environment and DR Data Centers
- Extensive knowledge on all aspects of MSSQL database administration and the ability to support other database platforms including both Aurora PostgreSQL and Oracle
- This DBA will have a high level of impact in the creation of new processes and solutions,
while operating under established procedures and processes in a mission critical Financial Services infrastructure workplace
- The Ideal candidate will ensure optimal performance, data security and reliability of our database infrastructure
What You'll Do:
- Software Installation, configure and maintain SQL server instances (On-prem and cloud based)
- Implement and manage High availability solutions including Always ON availability groups and clustering
- Support development, QA, PSE and Production environments using ServiceNow ticketing system
- Review production performance reports for variances from normal operation
- Optimize SQL queries and indexes for better efficiency
- Analyze query and recommend the tuning strategies
- Maintain database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters; implementing new releases; completing maintenance requirements; evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products
- Perform database backup and recove
