The Role
We're looking for a motivated Backend Engineer who's comfortable in PHP, Python, or Node.js and excited to build AI-powered features. You'll improve and scale our existing systems while helping build new services and APIs, working closely with experienced engineers on an international team. You'll learn through code reviews, pairing sessions, and design discussions - and steadily grow toward owning larger pieces of the platform end-to-end.

What You'll Do
Improve our backend: Strengthen the performance, reliability, and maintainability of our existing services - bug fixes, refactors, test coverage, and small migrations - with guidance from senior engineers.
Build services and APIs: Implement and maintain secure,



well-documented REST endpoints that power our mobile and web apps, taking on more design ownership as you grow.
Contribute to AI features: Help build the pipelines behind our AI-powered features - integrating LLM APIs, working with embeddings and retrieval, and adding logging and evaluation so we can measure quality and cost.
Champion quality and developer experience: Write meaningful tests, keep documentation current, follow secure-by-default patterns, and contribute improvements to our CI/CD and tooling.
Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with Product, Design, and Customer teams to ship clear, practical solutions that users adopt quickly.
Learn DevOps: Gain hands-on exposure to containerization, infrastructure as code, and runtime operations alongside our platform team.

What We're Looking For
1–4 years of experience building production backend systems.
Proficiency in at least one of Node.js, PHP, or Python, with eagerness to pick up
