Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations regarding and, at higher levels, controls capital and budgeted expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Develops schedules based on manpower requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Production Activities: Oversee daily operations on the production floor, ensuring that all processes are executed efficiently and safely. This includes managing assembly, machining, or fabrication processes.
- Manage Production Teams: Lead and motivate production staff, assigning tasks based on skills and availability, and ensuring that team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
