About the Role

Chai Govindam is looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing high-volume restaurant kitchens, developing innovative menus, maintaining exceptional food quality, and building high-performing culinary teams. The Head Chef will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, food safety, cost control, and delivering an outstanding dining experience across all kitchen operations. (Indeed)

Key Responsibilities Kitchen Operations
- Lead and supervise the complete kitchen operations.
- Ensure smooth daily food production and timely service.
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
- Monitor food quality before every dish is served.

Menu Development
- Design and introduce innovative food menus.




- Develop seasonal and promotional dishes.
- Standardize recipes and cooking procedures.
- Conduct food trials and menu engineering.

Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Build a disciplined and motivated kitchen team.
- Plan staff schedules and manpower allocation.

Food Cost & Inventory Management
- Monitor food cost and kitchen profitability.
- Control wastage and optimize inventory.
- Coordinate with vendors for procurement.
- Maintain stock levels and ensure timely ordering.

Hygiene & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI standards and food safety regulations.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation.
- Conduct regular hygiene inspections.
- Ensure proper food storage and handling procedures.

Process Improvement
- Develop and implement Kitchen SOPs.
- Improve workflow and operational efficiency.
