Job Title: AI Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Build and deploy AI-powered applications using Python and backend frameworks (FastAPI/Flask)
- Develop scalable APIs and microservices to serve AI/ML functionalities
- Work across the lifecycle: data ingestion transformation model integration API exposure frontend integration
- Collaborate on UI integration using Angular (or similar frameworks)
- Implement LLM-based solutions (RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, evaluation workflows)
- Apply statistical thinking to validate models, interpret outputs, and improve decision-making
- Design and implement evaluation frameworks for models and AI systems
- Ensure systems are production-ready (logging, monitoring, performance, reliability)
- Experiment with AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot) to improve engineering efficiency
- Build reusable accelerators and internal tools

Required Skills

Core Engineering
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI or Flask




- Understanding of REST APIs, backend systems, and microservices architecture
- Working knowledge of Angular / JavaScript / HTML / CSS

Data, AI & Statistics Foundations
- Understanding of machine learning fundamentals (training, validation, bias-variance tradeoff)
- Solid grasp of foundational statistics, including:
- Probability distributions and sampling
- Descriptive statistics (mean, variance, standard deviation)
- Hypothesis testing and confidence intervals
- Correlation vs causation
- Model evaluation metrics (precision, recall, F1, ROC-AUC, error metrics)
- Familiarity with LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, and RAG architectures
- Experience with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, or PyTorch

AI-Assisted Development
- Hands-on exposure to Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools
- Ability to use these tools for code generation, debugging, and rapid prototyping
