Job Summary

The Store Keeper is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory control of construction materials, tools, equipment, and consumables at the project site. The role ensures accurate stock records, timely material availability, and proper storage practices while minimizing material loss and maintaining compliance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery challans.
- Maintain accurate records of inward and outward material movement.
- Issue materials to site teams only against approved material requisition slips.
- Maintain stock registers and update inventory on a daily basis.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and preservation of all materials.
- Monitor stock levels and inform the procurement team about reorder requirements.




- Maintain records of tools, machinery, and equipment issued to employees and contractors.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and consumption reports (MIS).
- Coordinate with the Purchase, Accounts, and Site Engineering teams regarding material receipts and consumption.
- Verify supplier invoices, delivery challans, and goods received notes (GRNs).
- Minimize material wastage, pilferage, and damage through proper control measures.
- Ensure housekeeping, safety, and organization within the store area.
- Maintain records of scrap, surplus, and returned materials.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and inventory procedures.
- Perform any other store or inventory-related duties assigned by management.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Graduate in any discipline.
- Diploma in Material Management or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
