Excellent Eastern Shipping is hiring for the role of Training & Assessment Manager (Electrical & Crew)

Role Summary

The Training & Assessment Manager (Electrical & Crew) is responsible for developing the technical competence and career progression of Assistant Electrical Officers (AEOs), Electrical Officers (EOs), and Deck & Engine Crew. The role encompasses recruitment support, technical training, competency assessment, mentoring, compliance management, performance monitoring of assigned ranks, and effective administration of the Company's training and assessment framework under the guidance of the Head - Training & Assessment.

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum
3 years of sailing experience as an Electrical Officer, preferably on tankers.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Experience with MAN B&W; ME-B / ME-C engine automation systems will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Training Delivery & Competency Development
- Deliver Marine Electrical, Automation, and ME Engine training as per the Training Matrix.




- Assess competency through evaluations, tests, and promotion interviews; report progress to Head - T&A.;
- Mentor AEOs, EOs, and Ratings through structured training and development initiatives.

2. Training Programme Design & Development
- Support the design and continuous improvement of training programmes, competency frameworks, and assessment tools.
- Manage LMS, CBT modules, digital learning content, and training dashboards.
- Monitor training effectiveness, conduct audits, and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance and quality.

3. Recruitment, Training Administration & Budget Management
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training administration, and competency tracking of trainees and crew.
- Assist in training budget management, resource planning, vendor coordination, and enhancement of training infrastructure.
