We're Hiring Director- Category Head

Being Human is looking for an experienced Category Head with proven leadership experience in a fashion and apparel brand to lead our category strategy and drive profitable growth across our omnichannel business.

Location: Andheri MIDC, Mumbai Maharashtra

Experience: 16- 21 Years

Qualification: Graduate, MBA/Postgraduate qualification in Fashion Management, Retail Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.

Job Description:

1. Category Strategy & Business Ownership
- Develop and execute short-term and long-term category growth strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Build category roadmaps covering expansion, portfolio optimization, product lifecycle management, and exit strategies.
- Identify current business opportunities, white spaces, and emerging market segments.
- Drive category performance across Retail, E-commerce, Marketplace, EBO, LFR and MBO channels.

2. Buying, Merchandising & Assortment Strategy
- Lead assortment planning, range architecture, and merchandise planning.
- Define category architecture,



product hierarchy and assortment mix.
- Maintain the right balance Seasonal collections and Trend-led merchandise.
- Drive seasonal buying plans and product launches.
- Ensure alignment of product quality, pricing, design and styling with brand positioning.
- Improve SKU productivity through assortment optimization and rationalization.

3. Sales, Profitability & Commercial Performance
- Drive category sales growth while achieving margin and profitability targets.
- Monitor KPIs including Sales, Sell-through, Gross Margin, Stock Turns, Inventory Productivity and GMROI
- Develop pricing architecture and promotional strategies.
- Recommend corrective actions based on business performance.
- Improve customer conversion and average transaction value through category interventions.

4. Inventory Planning & Demand Management
- Partner with Planning and Supply Chain teams to optimize inventory inves
