About the Role

Unity Infotech is looking for an experienced
Senior Data Engineer
to join our Data & Analytics team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in modernizing enterprise ETL solutions, designing scalable data ingestion frameworks, and developing robust data pipelines for a next-generation data platform.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and reverse engineer existing SQL Server ETL processes.
- Design and develop reusable, metadata-driven data ingestion frameworks.
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines using Python and SQL Server (T-SQL).
- Develop solutions for CSV ingestion, incremental loading, data validation, auditing, logging, and error handling.
- Migrate legacy ETL processes and validate outputs against existing systems.
- Optimize ETL performance and ensure data quality throughout the data lifecycle.




- Collaborate with Data Architects, Business Analysts, Application Owners, and business stakeholders.
- Produce technical documentation and follow engineering best practices using Git.

Required Skills
- 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering or ETL Development.
- Solid hands-on experience with
Python
and
SQL Server (T-SQL)
.
- Expertise in ETL development, migration, and modernization projects.
- Experience with stored procedures, SQL Agent Jobs, performance tuning, and data transformation.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and metadata-driven frameworks.
- Experience with CSV processing, incremental data loading, validation, and reconciliation.
- Hands-on experience with Git and version control.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Mandatory Requirement
- Banking or Financial Services domain experience is mandatory.
