Area Business Manager Working Capital (WC)

Department: Working Capital (WC)
Location: Mumbai and Bangalore
Reporting Relationship: Will have a team reporting to the role and will report to the Regional Business Manager (RBM).

Job Role
- To drive a team of Business and/or Portfolio RMs at the Area level.
- To manage a team that can drive new client acquisition and/or manage, maintain, and enhance the assigned portfolio of existing customers.
- Drive team for current acquisition through Branch Banking and/or customer referrals.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders (CFOs/Promoters) in the target segments and build client trust and confidence.
- Continually increase the book size, share of wallet (SOW), and profitability of the location.
- Inculcate in team members an understanding of client business models, trade-related activities, cash flows, etc., and drive identification of opportunities to grow client relationships.
- Groom and mentor team members to achieve desired performance levels (RM productivity).
- Resolve and address location-level concerns.




- Manage channels such as Retail Liabilities, Privy, Wealth, etc.
- Drive adoption of various digital initiatives at the location level.
- Ensure the right sourcing is being done at the location.
- Deepen market reach through trade meetings, industry associations, local forums, etc.
- Enhance cross-sell opportunities such as KLI, KGI, CMS, etc.
- Strengthen and build a sustainable trade book with a healthy mix of importers and exporters at the location.
- Stay alert to competitive developments in the target segments (other banks, financial institutions, etc.) and strengthen the organization's presence and market penetration.
- Drive high-caliber client service from the team.
- Manage TAT for the location within specified levels for client onboarding, customer requests, renewals, etc.
- Improve efficiency by monitoring and driving continuous process improvements.
