Role Description:

As a Mathematics Mentor at Codeyoung, you will guide school-age learners through core and applied math concepts in alignment with our interactive, student-focused approach. In this part-time remote role, you will conduct live online sessions, explain mathematical ideas in explicit and engaging ways, and adapt examples and exercises to different skill levels. You will provide constructive feedback, track learner progress, and collaborate with the team to refine lesson plans and learning materials.



The role also involves maintaining a positive learning environment, communicating regularly with parents or guardians when needed, and using online tools to manage schedules and session reports.

Qualifications:


- Strong foundation in mathematics and the ability to explain concepts to school-age learners in simple, engaging terms.
- Experience in online teaching, tutoring, or mentoring, preferably with learners aged 5–17.
- Clear and professional communication skills, including active listening and positive feedback.
- Comfort with digital tools and online classroom platforms for conducting live sessions and managing materials.
- Patience, empathy, and a learner-centric mindset, with a passion for helping young people gain confidence in math.
- Ability to plan and structure lessons, manage time effectively, and work independently in a remote environment.
