Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer with strong hands-on expertise in designing and developing business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate should demonstrate practical experience in solving real business problems using Power BI rather than just theoretical knowledge of features and concepts. Candidates should be able to clearly explain their project contributions, technical decisions, and business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into meaningful visualizations and analytics.
- Develop effective data models and optimize report performance.
- Create and optimize DAX measures, calculated columns, and Power Query transformations.
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and workspace security based on business requirements.
- Connect Power BI with multiple data sources such as SQL Server, Azure, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, and cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and provide data-driven insights.
- Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize datasets, refresh schedules, and report usability.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across reporting solutions.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong experience in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Hands-on expertise in:
- Data Modeling (Star Schema/Snowflake Schema)
- DAX (Measures, Calculated Columns, Time Intelligence)
- Power Query (M Language)
- Row-Level Security (RLS)
- Report Performance Optimization
- Data Refresh and Gateway Configuration
- Good knowledge of SQL for data extraction and transformation.
- Experience integrating Power BI with multiple enterprise data sources.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
