Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Network Design and Implementation: Design and plan network infrastructure solutions based on business requirements and technology trends. Implement and configure network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers. Deploy and manage network protocols, routing, VLANs, VPNs, and other networking technologies.
- Network Operations and Maintenance: Monitor network performance, availability, and security. Perform network troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve network issues in a timely manner. Conduct regular maintenance activities, such as firmware upgrades, patch management, and configuration backups. Plan and implement network upgrades and expansions to support business growth and technological advancements.
Collaborate with capacity planning teams to forecast future network requirements.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, procedures, and standards. Generate network performance reports, incident reports, and metrics for management and stakeholders. Contribute to the development of network documentation, policies, and guidelines.
- Vendor Management and Collaboration: Manage relationships with network equipment vendors, service providers, and contractors. Coordinate vendor support, service agreements, and procurement of network hardware and software. Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams, including systems administrators, security engineers, and application developers, on network-related projects and initiatives.
Minimum experience: 5+ years as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
