We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support a growing Australian group operating across disability services, SDA housing, and strata/property-related businesses.

You will be responsible for maintaining accurate, real-time financial records across three Australian entities using Xero, ensuring transactions are processed daily and the finance function remains clean, organised, and audit-ready.

This role is ideal for someone with robust Australian bookkeeping experience who takes pride in accuracy, ownership, and consistency.

This is a critical role that helps keep the heartbeat of the business accurate, reliable, and under control.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Responsibilities
- Reconcile and clear all bank transactions in Xero every day
- Ensure bank reconciliations remain fully up to date and accurate




- Ensure every transaction in Xero is fully supported by relevant documentation. No exceptions
- Code expenses to correct accounts and cost centres
- Match supplier invoices, receipts, and payments correctly
- Monitor unreconciled items and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Maintain clean and accurate general ledger records
- Maintain organised digital filing of financial documents

Weekly Responsibilities
- Prepare supplier payment runs for approval to CFO & CEO
- Coordinate supplier approvals internally
- Process approved supplier payments every Thursday
- Monitor accounts payable ageing
- Follow up missing invoices or supporting documentation
- Assist with weekly cash position reporting if required

Monthly Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end reconciliations
- Reconcile GST/BAS-related accounts and present for review to CFO for submission
- Reconcile credit cards and loan accounts
- Support preparation of working papers for Management Accountant and CFO
