Role Description
We are looking for a hands-on
Senior Test Engineer
with strong experience in both manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate should have expertise in
Selenium, Playwright, and Java
, along with a practical, detail-oriented approach to ensuring software quality. This role involves contributing to test strategy, test execution, automation development, and continuous quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Playwright, and Java.
- Identify, document, track, and verify defects throughout the defect lifecycle.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.
- Participate in test planning, effort estimation, and release readiness activities.
- Create and maintain test documentation, including test scenarios, test data, and test reports.
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and contribute to process improvements.
- Enhance test frameworks and promote automation best practices.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in both manual and automation testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Selenium WebDriver
- Playwright
- Java
- Valuable understanding of test design techniques, test execution, and defect management.
- Experience in functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Strong knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Ability to analyze requirements and create effective test scenarios and test cases.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with automation frameworks and tools such as:
- TestNG
- JUnit
- Maven
- Gradle
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
