The Role

Your Role:

As a Microsoft SQL Server Administrator, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, deployment, maintenance, and security of SQL Server databases within an enterprise setting. You will safeguard the high availability, data integrity, and peak performance of mission-critical systems through continuous database monitoring, proactive tuning, and robust disaster recovery planning, ensuring uninterrupted support for core business operations.

What you will do:
- Manage SQL Server Instances: Install, configure,



and maintain SQL Server instances across Development, Test, and Production environments, including managing database objects, schemas, and configurations.
- Execute Upgrades and Migrations: Plan and perform database upgrades, migrations, and regular patching activities to keep systems secure and up to date.
- Optimize Database Performance: Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, tune queries and indexes, and perform capacity planning and resource optimization to ensure high stability.
- Implement HA/DR Solutions: Design and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies while implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions like Always On, clustering, replication, and log shipping.
- Provide 24/7 Production Support: Troubleshoot complex database issues, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), manage production incidents to meet SLAs, and participate in on-call rotations.
