We are looking for a Data Engineering Lead to join our Data Engineering practice, delivering modern data platforms for enterprise and regulated clients. This is a hands-on leadership role for a technically strong engineer who can lead design and delivery, act as a trusted technical authority, and mentor engineers while maintaining strong engineering discipline in real-world environments.

This is a delivery-focused role for an experienced engineer and Tech Lead who enjoys solving complex data challenges, takes ownership of outcomes, and applies strong engineering discipline in production environments.

*Key Responsibilities*
- Lead end-to-end delivery of data engineering workstreams.
- Shape solution approaches and set technical direction.
- Design and build scalable batch and streaming data pipelines.
- Operate and support production data systems.
- Provide technical governance through design reviews, implementation guidance, risk escalation, and delivery assurance.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and act as a client-facing technical lead.




- Mentor and coach engineers while supporting capability development.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to enhance scalable data platforms.
- Develop high-throughput, low-latency data processing systems.
- Work within the Databricks and Apache Spark ecosystem.
- Build and maintain cloud-native data solutions on AWS.
- Use dbt for data transformation, modelling, testing, and documentation.
- Orchestrate workflows using Airflow or similar tools.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code following software engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with product, analytics, and platform teams.
- Support production systems by troubleshooting issues and implementing continuous improvements.
- Ensure solutions are secure, tested, observable, and cost-effective.
- Optimize data performance, reliability, and data quality in production environments.
