Primary Responsibilities
- Service Migration & Re-architecture:
Lead the transition of legacy Python services to Go. Read and analyze existing application logic to design idiomatic, performant Go services that follow clean architectural patterns.
- Cutover & Validation Infrastructure:
Architect migration harnesses incorporating shadow traffic, response diffing, metric dashboards, and feature flag management to guarantee complete parity and safe rollbacks.
- Schema Evolution & Data Reconciliation:
Manage complex data migrations, including field mapping, backfills, dual-writing systems, data consistency verifications, and deterministic cutover checkpoints.
- Go Microservices & Concurrency:
Develop high-concurrency Go HTTP APIs, background workers, and event streaming applications. Apply disciplined concurrency patterns (worker pools, context propagation, leak prevention) to support high-throughput operations.
- Database Management:
Oversee MySQL query performance and connection management within Go applications. Manage transaction boundaries, connection pool tuning,



and live schema migrations.
- Event-Driven Messaging:
Build resilient Kafka messaging systems, implementing optimal partitioning, offset management, replay facilities, and error handling via Dead-Letter Queues (DLQs).

Required Qualifications
- Experience:
3 to 6 years of qualified backend engineering experience.
- Technical Languages:
Strong production expertise in
Go
alongside deep readability of
Python
.
- System Design:
Demonstrable experience executing migration patterns (shadow testing, dual-writes, response diffing).
- Concurrency:
Advanced understanding of Go concurrency primitives and common concurrency pitfall mitigation.
- Database Fluency:
High-level proficiency with MySQL schema design, query profiling, and connection pool tuning.
- Streaming Systems:
Hands-on experience operating Apache Kafka producers and consumers at scale.
- Cloud & Operations:
Proficiency with AWS ecosystem, containeri
