Job Description - Project Lead
Project Lead (promoting STEM, Healthy Living, and Sports)
Location: Mumbai (with regular travel to project schools in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane and Palghar)
Report to: Regional Head - West
Main Purpose:
The Project Lead provides end-to-end leadership for the project promoting STEM education, Healthy Living and Sports, implemented in 14 schools across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane and Palghar, reaching approximately 5,220 students. The role holder is responsible for overall project planning, execution, team management, budget utilisation, stakeholder and donor coordination, and the achievement of project outcomes within agreed timelines and quality standards.
Accountabilities:
Overall implementation and delivery of the project across all assigned schools, ensuring achievement of targets against the approved project plan and log frame
Project management including - annual and monthly planning, activity delivery, achievement status against milestones, budget tracking and utilisation, and performance management of the project team
¢ Leading,



supervising and mentoring the team of STEM Mentors, Academic Facilitators and MIS In-charge deployed across project locations
¢ Donor management - serving as the primary point of contact for the supporting corporate partner for project updates, reviews, field visits and reporting
¢ Reporting - timely preparation and submission of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, case studies and MIS, as per the formats shared by Smile Foundation and the donor
¢ Liaison with education and health authorities, school administrations and other external stakeholders for approvals, convergence and smooth project functioning
¢ Compliance with the organisations policies and procedures, including child safeguarding, finance and procurement norms
¢ Reporting at the Smile Mumbai office for necessary documentation, coordination and review, as required
