BI Developer (Tableau to Power BI Migration Expert)

Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade dashboards and analytics solutions. The role requires strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, data modeling, and performance optimization, along with the ability to work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy Power BI reports and dashboards for business and leadership teams
- Build and optimize data models, DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and convert them into analytics solutions
- Develop Power BI semantic models using best practices (star schema, performance tuning)
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage workspace access and governance
- Optimize Power BI reports for performance, scalability, and refresh efficiency
- Work with multiple data sources (SQL, Azure, APIs, Excel, SharePoint,



etc.)
- Automate and schedule data refreshes using Power BI Service and Gateways
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and adherence to data governance standards
- Mentor junior developers and conduct code/review best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills (Must-Have)
- Strong experience in Power BI Desktop & Power BI Service
- Advanced DAX (time intelligence, complex calculations, optimization)
- Solid data modeling skills (star/snowflake schemas)
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation
- Experience integrating Power BI with Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Factory, or similar
- Performance tuning and troubleshooting Power BI reports
- Experience implementing RLS and security models
