Business Development Manager Defence & Government Tenders

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Business Development Manager to drive growth through Defence, Government, PSU, and Strategic Sector opportunities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying tender opportunities, managing bid processes, developing relationships with key stakeholders, and expanding business within Defence establishments, Government departments, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), and related agencies.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development
- Identify and track business opportunities from Defence organizations, Government departments, PSUs, and autonomous bodies.
- Develop and execute strategies to increase revenue through government and defence procurement channels.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, procurement officials, consultants, and system integrators.




- Generate current business leads through market intelligence, networking, and industry events.

Tender Management
- Monitor tender portals including GeM, CPPP, Defence procurement portals, and PSU procurement websites.
- Analyze tender requirements, eligibility criteria, technical specifications, and commercial terms.
- Coordinate with internal teams for preparation and submission of technical and commercial bids.
- Ensure timely submission of tenders and compliance with bid requirements.
- Manage pre-bid meetings, tender clarifications, and post-bid follow-ups.

Defence & Government Relations
- Engage with Defence establishments, Armed Forces units, DRDO labs, ordnance facilities, and government agencies.
- Understand procurement processes and acquisition procedures within Defence and Government sectors.
- Support vendor registration, product approvals, and empanelment activities.
