Position: CCTV Operator

Department: IT

Reporting To: IT Manager

Job Summary:

The CCTV Operator is responsible for monitoring and operating CCTV surveillance systems to ensure the safety and security of company premises, employees, visitors, and assets. The operator must identify suspicious activities, report incidents promptly, maintain surveillance records, and ensure all CCTV equipment is functioning properly.

Key Responsibilities:

* Monitor live CCTV footage from all installed cameras.

* Detect and report any suspicious, unauthorized, or unsafe activities immediately.

* Record, document, and escalate security incidents to the Security Manager or concerned department.

* Retrieve and review recorded footage when required for investigations.

* Maintain CCTV logs, incident reports, and daily monitoring records.

* Coordinate with security guards and emergency response teams during incidents.

* Perform routine checks to ensure cameras, NVRs/DVRs, and monitoring systems are operational.

* Report camera faults, network issues, or equipment failures to the IT/CCTV team.





* Maintain confidentiality of CCTV footage and surveillance data.

* Follow company security policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

* Assist in investigations by providing relevant video evidence.

* Monitor alarms and access control systems (if integrated with CCTV).

* Ensure continuous monitoring during assigned shifts.

Required Skills:

* Knowledge of CCTV systems, NVRs/DVRs, and IP cameras.

* Basic computer skills.

* Strong observation and attention to detail.

* Valuable communication and reporting skills.

* Ability to remain alert during long monitoring periods.

* Basic knowledge of security procedures and emergency response.

* Ability to work in rotating shifts, including nights and holidays.

Qualifications:

* Minimum 12th Pass or Diploma (Graduate preferred).

* Experience as a CCTV Operator or Security Surveillance Operator is an advantage.
