Must have BE or equivalent degree in Electronics Engineering with 5 to 7 years of experience and having below skill sets:
Technical skills:
Mandatory skills:
- Support Design Engineering to identify and qualify second sources electronic parts.
- Track component Life cycles Status.
- Proactively identify and drive solutions to resolve End-of-life (EOL) and obsolete situations and minimize impacts.
- Review and address Product Change Notices (PCN’s) from component manufacturers.
- Ensure components are compliant to necessary environmental and safety standards, e.g. RoHS, REACH, UL, CE, AEC etc
- Review, analyse and optimize Bills of Materials (BOM’s) down to manufacturer part level.
Good to have:
- Familiar with Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA).
- Experience with any PLM tool to handle ECR/ECO.
- Understand component technology roadmaps/trends and present them to Design Engineering.
- Maintain Approved Vendor List (AVL).
- Knowledge on IHS tool,
ECO design standards
- Relentless drive to create innovation/improvement in current process.
Soft skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Flexible to adapt to requirements of Projects / different task
Job/Task Description:
- Check component datasheet and understand electrical specifications of component
- Create new part in ECAD database and update attributes as per datasheet
- Review current parts created by colleagues
- Support for PLM activities: Attributes and documentation update
- Apply different techniques / knowledge to reduce part creation time
- Support for building process and documentation for Component Engineering / Obsolescence management
- Perform activities of obsolescence management like BOM import, Alternate suggestion, PCN/PDN alerts
