Role & responsibilities

1. Strategic Sourcing: Lead the procurement of specialized civil structures, focusing on all types of structural steel girders (e.g., plate, box, composite).

2. Electrical Material Procurement: Manage sourcing contracts for critical power transmission materials including copper, aluminum, and steel conductors.

3. Contract Management: Apply deep understanding of Price Variation Clauses (PVC) to mitigate financial risks caused by commodity price fluctuations.

4. ERP Operations: Execute daily procurement tasks, purchase requisitions, and vendor evaluations smoothly within the SAP MM Module.

5. Vendor Management: Identify, onboard, and evaluate specialized vendors and contractors compliance with stringent technical specifications.

6. Data & Reporting: Maintain highly organized procurement trackers, cost sheets, and executive presentations using MS Office applications.

7. Compliance & Audits:



Ensure all procurement workflows strictly align with established statutory guidelines and Railways Procurement norms

Preferred candidate profile

1. Industry Experience: Approximately 10 years of dedicated experience working directly within Railways Procurement or large-scale railway infrastructure projects.

2. Technical Expertise: Exceptional technical understanding of structural steel engineering items and specialized overhead/underground power conductors.

3. Software Proficiency: Advanced, hands-on operational capability in the SAP MM (Materials Management) module.

4. Analytical Tools: High proficiency in MS Office, particularly advanced Excel for data modeling and PowerPoint for corporate reporting.

5. Financial Acumen: Robust capability to calculate, implement, and track complex index-based Price Variation Clauses.
