About the Role

We are seeking an experienced R&D; Head – Refrigeration & Laundry Appliances to lead the research, design, development, and innovation of next-generation refrigeration and laundry appliance products. The role will drive new product development (NPD), product improvements, cost optimization, energy efficiency, and technology roadmap while leading a high-performing R&D; team.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the complete R&D; function for Refrigerators, Washing Machines, and Laundry Appliances.
- Develop and execute the product innovation strategy aligned with business goals.
- Drive end-to-end Current Product Development (NPD) from concept to mass production.
- Lead product design, prototyping, testing, validation, and commercialization.
- Ensure compliance with BIS, BEE Star Rating, IEC, ISO, and global safety standards.
- Improve product performance, reliability, energy efficiency, and durability.
- Conduct value engineering and cost optimization without compromising quality.
- Research emerging technologies, consumer insights, and competitor products.




- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Service teams for successful product launches.
- Manage R&D; budgets, project timelines, resources, and technical documentation.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering and design team.
- Support localization initiatives and supplier development for critical components.
- Drive patent filing, innovation, and continuous product improvement programs.
- Resolve technical issues related to field failures and product performance.

Required Skills
- Strong expertise in refrigeration systems, compressors, thermodynamics, heat transfer, insulation systems, and laundry appliance technologies.
- Hands-on experience in refrigerator and washing machine product development.
- Strong knowledge of plastics, sheet metal, motors, electronics, sensors, PCB integration, and embedded systems.
