At Qubist Solutions, we specialize in delivering cutting-edge aerospace and avionics engineering services. We are expanding our development team and looking for a dedicated software engineer to build advanced 3D mapping and visualization applications.
The Role
We are heavily focused on high-performance rendering and spatial data visualization. Your primary responsibility will be developing robust 3D map-based applications, with a strict emphasis on utilizing osgEarth and OpenSceneGraph (OSG). If you have a robust foundation in modern C++ and a passion for 3D graphics, LiDAR visualization, and UI development using Qt, we want to hear from you.
Core Requirements & Required Skills
- 3D Mapping & Visualization (Primary Focus): Hands-on, practical experience with osgEarth and/or OpenSceneGraph (OSG) is critical for this role.
- C++ Mastery: Strong programming skills in modern C++ (C++11/14/17) with a solid understanding of multithreading.
- UI/UX Development: Good knowledge of the Qt Framework (Qt Widgets and/or Qt Quick) and hands-on experience with QML.
- 3D Graphics Fundamentals: Deep understanding of core 3D concepts, including Scene Graphs, Cameras, Lighting, and Transformations, along with knowledge of OpenGL fundamentals.
- Spatial Data: Knowledge of LiDAR point cloud visualization and experience developing 3D map-based applications.
- Development Practices: Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
- OS Environments: Experience developing and deploying across both Windows and Linux platforms.
- Problem Solving: Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
