Job Summary

The Professor of Political Science & Public Administration provides academic leadership in teaching, research, curriculum development, policy analysis, and institutional governance. The role includes mentoring students and scholars, leading research initiatives, publishing scholarly work, and contributing to the academic and strategic development of the department.

Key Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses in Political Science and Public Administration.

Develop and revise curriculum in line with contemporary academic and policy developments.

Supervise postgraduate dissertations and Ph.D. research scholars.

Conduct research and publish in reputed peer-reviewed journals and books.

Secure funded research projects, consultancy assignments, and policy research initiatives.

Organize seminars, conferences, workshops, and extension activities.





Mentor students in research, public policy, governance, and civil services preparation.

Participate in academic administration, accreditation, examination, admissions, and quality assurance activities.

Foster collaborations with government agencies, research institutions, NGOs, and international organizations.

Contribute to institutional governance, strategic planning, and community outreach.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Political Science, Public Administration, Public Policy, Governance, or a closely related discipline.

First Class or equivalent at Bachelor's and Master's levels where applicable.

Qualifications as prescribed by applicable regulatory norms (e.g., UGC or relevant statutory bodies).

Experience

Minimum experience as prescribed under applicable regulatory guidelines for the position of Professor.
