Business Skills
General understanding of budgeting and reporting processes
Solid knowledge of cost allocation mechanisms
Ability to navigate data models using Ad Hoc analyses in Smart View to identify likely causes of discrepancies
Able to support the client during the budgeting phase and in management reporting
ESSBASE Application Skills
Creation of an application/cube in ESSBASE
Design, creation, and management of the data model: outline repository administration via the web interface and cube designer in Smart View
Dimension building using rules
Data loading using rules in ESSBASE
Management of substitution variables and prompts
Creation of straightforward calculation scripts: aggregation, data clearing, scenario initialization, data copying between scenarios, member formulas
Creation of complex calculation scripts: specific business needs, cost allocation rules
Security management in ESSBASE
