Responsibilities -
Evaluate the quality of credit appraisals for retail products (Home Loans, Auto Loans, Personal Loans, LAP).
Verify borrower eligibility against the approved credit policy, income norms, and risk appetite frameworks.
Assess the verification process of customer documents, including financial statements, tax filings, and credit bureau (CIBIL) reports.
Review underwriting exceptions and deviations to ensure proper approvals and justifications exist.
Check pre-disbursement conditions (CPAs) to confirm all sanctions terms are met before funds are released.
Audit loan documentation accuracy, including loan agreements, mortgage deeds, and guarantee papers.
Verify the perfection of charges on collateral, vehicle hypothecation, and legal/valuation report validity.
Analyze post-disbursement tracking, including end-use verification and first EMI defaults (FED).
Identify early warning signals (EWS) of stress, non-performing assets (NPAs), and potential retail credit frauds.
Review the efficiency and compliance of the collections and recovery processes for overdue accounts.
Utilize audit tools and data analytics to identify sampling sets and high-risk loan pockets.
Draft objective audit findings with clear root-cause analysis for credit and business stakeholders.
Track the remediation of audit observations and ensure systemic gaps in credit processing are closed.
